My Story

Labor of Love has been a part of the birth community for many years, witnessing significant changes in our industry as birth and postpartum doula support became mainstream. When I launched Labor of Love in 2012, my vision was quite small and focused on educating families to better prepare emotionally and physically for their birth experiences. I never imagined that, 13 years later, we would grow from a solo practice into the first doula agency in Orange County — and one of the first in the nation — offering comprehensive birth and postpartum doula support, childbirth and breastfeeding education, and lactation services.

Throughout our journey, Labor of Love has mentored over 50 birth and postpartum doulas, many of whom have pursued careers as nurses or midwives, while others have continued their passion in the doula field. Together, we’ve supported around 900 families during birth, 600 families through postpartum doula services, and thousands of expecting couples through our inclusive childbirth education series.
